Molly Piper ~ Books & PuppetS

School programs with children's author/puppeteer Molly Piper are all about inspiring your students to participate in their own learning. A one-day program includes three show/workshop sessions, created to inspire learning at all stages of development, for all grade levels. Molly leads kids in making colorful and expressive paper-hinge puppets; kids then see how their own creations can bring books and academics alive.
Residencies unfold over several days. They involve a selected group of your students who meet once a day over three to five days. These kids make papier mache puppets and use them to create shows of their own, based on school materials (especially science, history or literature).

Molly Piper is an experienced presenter and has worked with thousands of children, teachers and parents over many decades.
She has written and illustrated several books for children; and has written and performed puppet plays for audiences large and small. Don't miss out! Molly's Puppet/Art Club at our school was so profoundly wonderful that we invited her back the next year for a five-month residency ~ this time a language arts program (using books and puppets) with all seventy-five of our first graders. And she pulled it off again. The children were soooo excited everytime they knew it was their special day with her. I know some of them improved so much in their reading, speaking, and writing, and I can't quite say how she did it. She just takes them by surprise, and off they go! Erin Maddux, Yelm, WA
